The Disaster Relief program of The Long Run Baptist Association takes an effective role in relieving tragedies in the associational boundaries and the world. We never wish that a disaster would strike, but we need to be prepared physically, spiritually, and mentally to help those in their times of misfortune. May God continue to bless each of you in your desire to serve our community.
Pray...for the safety and effectiveness of those assisting disaster affected families and individuals. Pray that those being assisted will see Christ in us. Pray for receptive hearts and the Holy Spirits changing power in them.
Go...Volunteer your physical labor. If you have are experienced in a skill (roofing, plumbing, electric, dry wall, carpet/flooring, painting, construction, etc.) then we need you. If you have the gift of compassion, counseling, hospitality, then we need you. Those affected by disaster need you. God wants you to be his tool to bring restoration to the lives of those hurting and lost.
Give...financially. There are always items that need to be purchased to stock the Disaster Relief & Shower/Laundry Trailers. Below is a list of items needed. You can purchase these items yourself or send a check designated for the "Disaster Relief Equipment Fund". Make checks payable to LRBA and send to:
